My TZ is worse for it than my TAF but i've cleaned all the playfeild all the subways etc, but after a few games my flipper rubbers look like they've been working down the pit for a week!

Where does it come from?

coil's ....and on a game like T.Z you have oodles of them!

it's a never ending battle like fighting an incoming tide.

Yes i know i should buy the black rubbers but i like the white/red better, i just hoped that if everything was clean it would solve the problem for a while. I suppose it's just skid marks and underpants syndrome!!

Coils eh? That would maybe explain why WH20 gets dirty around bigsfoot above a coil........ Knew there had to be a reason.

Most of it gathers in places you don't think of to clean (or can't get at)... for example in the games trough, vuk and the like. So if you've purchase a dirty game and clean it, the dirt from the areas that you didn't get to clean is then brought back on to the playfield after a few plays... The good news is if you keep cleaning it, it reduces over time as the dirt in the areas you didn't get to is dissapated. Rubbers can easily be cleaned using IPA (or equivalent), IPA wet wipes are very handy for this...
