Agreed with seller to buy a pin if he could palletise it.
Asked if he was comfortable with prepping for pallet delivery. Oh yes.
36hrs before collection I recieved this picture saying it was 'good to go'.

So I'll throw this out to the community.
Would you be comfortable having a pin collected like this?

Thats normally how it's done, the only thing missing is the plastic film wrap that should be wrapped around the machine to protect it from weather rain and potential scuffs.

The wrap is black and can be found on Amazon just ask them to wrap it

I wouldn’t be happy, the back isn’t folded down so it’s top heavy, what’s covering the glass to stop it from breaking, the legs will get lost.

back is folded.
One strap right round the pin (including folded back) and one strap onto the pallet.

Tombstoning on a pallet is normal. No issues with that.

One strap to the pallet is my primary concern.
Nothing on the edges, no wrap my secondary concern.

Absolutely not. As the other guys have said needs pallet wrap, lots of cardboard.

The ones I've had from Germany are heavily wrapped. I doubt that would survive the journey.

Have to echo what others have said...

Strap around cabinet needs cardboard under it where it touches cabinet to stop damage.

Cabinet then wrapped in shrink wrap.

Cabinet then strapped to pallet with 2 straps left/right and front/back.

Legs wrapped in shrink wrap and strapped to pallet, or shrink wrapped onto cabinet base.

If you're sending anything by courier, assume it's going to get bashed and abused, so wrap the crap out of it and secure it down with at least 2 straps, which should be protected at the edges of the cabinet. He's taking a risk there. I had a pallet get dropped off a tail lift once, took me 9 months to prove who damaged it and I had to take the pallet company to small claims to get my money back. The insurance will only cover the standard kilos/per £ as per the freight legislation. Try claiming for a poorly prepared item at a good few grand.
My advice is don't accept it and if the seller is not prepared to cover the full cost of a cock up, drive and pick it up yourself.
