What's the best machihe since, say.. Family Guy to Star trek?

Was thinking... if I were to buy a second hand Stern, which would be the newest machine I had owned, which one would I buy?
I think we have recently had quite a few good titles, spoiled for choice really...
Wasn't that impressed with Tron, BTDK was fun, X men looks goos, Spiderman didn't get me hooked as it has others...
Would Like an Iron Man I reckon...

After all the hype has gone, what machines stand on their own merits?

What makes the DC so good is the risk= reward. the song jackpot resets after every ball. if the shot is lit, do you 'cash-out' or try to multiply it by going for bell. the hidden jackpots in all the mulitballs. the call outs ,the lightshow.everything just makes it the best game ever made, ever. that and you can mod it to death. :)
 
Iron Man.

No other game gets the adrenalin pumping so soon:)

And with less than 1050 made, it is almost an LE;)

O~r should I ask, which ones, have actually got a full & complete set of rules??
 
Only played 6, owned 2, BDK was OK but nothing to rave about, SM is decent but not as good as TOM ;), LOTR is prob my favourite but does not qualify except LE, DC played but not enough to form an opinion, Metallica was OK, FG was naff for me personally, would like to try Tron.

If only 1500 Iron Men were made then it's even rarer than an LE - certainly a JJP Le....
 
Wait a little bit longer before making your mind up,
You are more than likely to find one on its **** in the mud or one thats been forgot about in some cellar.

My choice
Spiderman, Ironman, Metallica (still waiting for the code to be finished)
 
Lying in a puddle, at the back of a pub, with its legs in the air.... Was that how I met the wife or how I found safecracker, can't quite remember.... :-)
C'mon there must be one with finished code .......
 
Ironman is a one ball game, rules are quite simple due to this. still from what I hear it's a brute of a game. sounds good, but hard to acquire because of it's rarity.

Despite the ****e art package and dancing men,I would say AC/DC.
Mettallica looks much better and better audio IMO,but the rules just aint there,shame as it could be one of the best games ever.
Other noticeable good games are SMan and Fguy - FGUy some of the best audio in pinball.
Iman is sooo brutal,but VERY good fun.IF ya get a good game in...such a rush.
Still dont "get" Tron,but can feel some of the goodness there

You're not alone... it took Greg almost a year to "get" Tron... :D

Played all the games in the list Dan's supplied, only real turkey is TRS. Favourites Tron, Avatar, X-men, Star Trek, ACDC BIBLE and Metallic MOPLE.

What is the prob with The Stones ? Rules ? General gameplay ? Have you played it enough to truly assess it ? Not being funny but I'd seriously like to know, having only played it a few times I have no real opinion but can't help feel *surely* there must be an ok game there.
 
The problem is the movable Jagger which can send every ball down the out lane without you touching it. Wouldn't mind the one off sort of thing (no different from a magnet slinging the ball SDTM or outlane) but played a few games on one in Sweden and it does it constantly (as do all the other ones I've played since it's been released). The game itself when Jagger isn't in the way or on the move is fine.

There was one in my hotel and I played at least 3-4 games every day for a week hoping it would grow on me. It didn't.

I particularly hate the random sound quotes all the time.

After 5 days it was replaced with Spiderman. I wonder if it wasn't taking any money?
 
AC/DC - Premium is great but I'm not such a fan of the Pro version.
Metallica - Great playfield but they need to add all the modes to the game before its really good.
Star Trek - Nice but not as fun as STTNG imo.
Avengers Hulk - Fun but doesn't seem too deep.
Tron Legacy - Not my favourite layout but a pretty fun game.
XMen + Avengers - Both pretty good games imo.
Tranformers - Meh. Not a fan of the layout.
