To my mind they cannot of held level to original purchase price or even gained value yet.

Surely if over 5-10 years they're faultless then we'll be singing its praises but right now it's similar to most other pins and dropping for a period after purchase.

They're not exactly hard to get hold of.

And the LE. What's that worth too?

Original purchase price £6.5k. Current price at PinballHeaven £8695.

Doubt anyone would be selling a 2nd hand one for less than the original purchases price at the moment.

This is not to say that if you bought one at 8.5k today it wouldn't lose £1k+ as soon as you opened the box. The same initial loss would happen as for any other pin.

I'd guess the 2nd hand value at the moment would be around 6.5k. How much is an original in very good condition? There's no reason that the remake would be worth more. If the cab/playfield etc is in the same condition I'd suspect most people would plump for the original. The big question is whether you can find a 20 year old machine that is in as good a condition as a 1 year old one? Even a ropey original MM is probably 5k now (disclaimer: I haven't seen one come up for a while)
