What solder??

Can anyone recommend some decent solder for circuit boards please. The last few batches of 60/40 I have bought have been rubbish. If you've got a link to a specific product that works then please let me know!

60/40 with rosin core should be fine. Some people say 63/37 is better but I don't notice a big difference.

Are you working on boards which may have some other kind of solder already present? They won't mix well - better to remove all existing solder first. Oh and get a flux pen if you don't have one already

Yup all the solder is off and I have used a flux pen as well. Where do you get your solder from?

I use loctite multicore. Best one I've found, flows nicely.

It's leaded so just be aware of that. The lead free ones I've had zero luck with.

I think that's the same stuff as loctite - they both use the same multicore logo

Best stuff I have used for a long time.

I also use the duratool 60/40 as well.
