There are a lot of recent Sterns that I haven't played, as well as most of the JPs and I'm wondering what game to look at next. I want a game with deep rules that takes a lot of effort to get to an entertaining wizard mode but not as much effort as something like LOTR, I'm not quite that good at pinball. I fancy trying GOTG, AIQ, WoZ or Dialled In but I haven't played any of them (apart from one game on DI) so I could be way off base. Any suggestions? (No rock band themes, please).

Deep rule set.. hmmm

Stern Wise:
Batman 66 - Argued as a simple but deep game
Elvira HOH - Expensive and hard to get but I think you'd like it

JJP Wise:

Wizard of Oz
Hobbit
Dialed in
The other JPP's warrant too much cash (POTC)

Personally I would also try Deadpool not the deepest of games but it all really depends on your skill level. I was going to get GOTG myself but honestly there are better pins for the cash.
Not sure I would consider AIQ deep but its definitely a great game.

If you can get DI you will not be disappointed, great game and not too deep. Just dial in that SIM card shot as that can be a bit frustrating.

@s000m While BM66 has a lot going on, its main wizard mode is dead easy to get to. If you want to get a decent score you have to work all those multipliers and get everything set up just right and it feels a bit like effort sometimes. If there was a super wizard mode for doing all 4/5 wizard modes it would be another story (not that I would ever achieve it).

AIQ not deep?! what you talking about willis?

Of all the games that you are talking about AIQ is the only one that should be on your list.

Neil.

AIQ. The shots aren't punishing so ball times are pretty good and it's ramptastic.

I seem to remember the PDF rule-sheet being something like 25 pages, I had the game for 3 months at my house and didn't get close to working everything out.

I'm a massive Deadpool fan but it's not particularly deep.
