So I guess it’s a testament to the calibre of people on here that a faux-pas I’d made (totally by accident) was so readily accepted by all parties - I can only imagine the fallout on other forums.

So, I list some pinballs, six in total

User 1 sees the mail and posts to say dm on the way with regards machine a

User 2 sees the mail and sends me a dm to purchase machine a

User 3 also sees the mail and sends me an enquiry about machine a

Whilst all this happening, I’m fielding lots of messages both sympathizing with my situation (stroke forcing sake) and enquiring about machines b-f inclusive.

Nothing weird there then other than at some point, I don’t know how or when, I’ve accidentally set IGNORE on User 1. So I see neither the post he made or the dm, so he misses out on the opportunity.

User 2, starts his dm talking about the dm I got but if it falls through, he’ll have it. I pull a face as if to say ‘what dm?’ And say it’s still available.

User 3 gets a “next in line” message Incase it falls through.

A few hours later, user 1 posts a question if it has been saved for him as he’s had no dm. At that point I notice a small message saying user is ignored. (I have never ignored anyone)

So, bit of a mess.

My feelings are that it’s unfortunate but I have had the chat with user 2 and sale agreed.

Now I feel badly about user 1 no matter that this accidental and I couldn’t even blame beer.

I’ve put the situation back to user 2 to see what his view is now that I get what he was originally saying.

This is a very impeccable forum.

For the record -

I must have pressed the users name by accident, then again to get back to the thread but pressed ignore at the same time.

Admin, it probably needs a confirmation?

Cant confirm i'm afraid - Logs cover lots of things, however it seems putting people on Ignore isnt one of them...

For the record it's REALLY easily done though.. so i could well believe it happened :)

Just coincidental it was all dms about the same machine. Unfortunate but no real harm done.

Close the thread then? Ta for commenting.

I have done that a few times also, thing is I have no idea when ive been ignoring them from either.

i few times i have noticed and set it back straight away, I’m usually on an iPad

Me too! Must have done it before. For the record he’s got no posts to ignore 😂😂😂

Guessing from this that user 2 gave it back to user 1.I wouldn’t worry about it too much, forum balance has been restored, and the first person in got the machine.

Happened with my taxi and seller honoured me as first PM. I’ve only ever refused first PM on two grounds.

1. HLD
2. Someone “bought” a machine and no showed for collection previously.

I've never ignored anyone. If it's just a one click thing, is it possible to make it a two stage confirmation? Just making work for Paul.

Selling multiple pins in one post does make things difficult the Spiderman was on the money so you can always expect several pm s and people are going to be disappointed in the end to the down to the seller to narrow down the best opportunity for him ie for me it’s fast payment and collection as space is always an issue
