Hi,
Money for old rope !
I am looking to develop my playfield abd pinball restoration skills.
Playfield
Does anyone have an old Bally Williams playfield, preferably one from the
eightiess and one from the nineties. It does not need to be populated.
The poorer condition the better, ( although it would be better if it had at
least a small area of undamaged paint on it.) I will be carrying out various
experiments and some of them will be unsuccessful -so this playfield will not be
successfully restored.
It does not matter what machine it is from.
Siderails
Also for carrying out a restoration experiment - looking for at least three
stainless steel siderails, again damaged ones are fine/preferable. but they
would need to have an undamaged bit in the middle 72cm long.
I am able to collect from Blackpool show. or possibly the Irish meet ( or of
course the Scottish Open )
If you have any of the above and you are going to the shows and transport space
is an issue, then feel free to saw a bit away from the bottom and /or top of
the playfield.( oh dear - did I actually type that ?)
Similarly if you hacksaw the siderails to leave a good 72cm siderail section to
make it easier to bring then that will be fine.
Lockdown bar
Also wanted: an old stainless steel lockdown bar ( i.e. the frame for the glass
nearest your tummy) I only need the ends of the bar , I will be cutting almost
all of the middle away so if it is twisted or buckled or vandalised, then that
does not matter, also I do not need it to have the piece of metal underneath
which actually locks it down.
Cabinet/ Head Hinges
I am also looking for a couple of pairs of Bally Williams cabinet/head hinges,
as I am going to be getting various types of plating and polishing experiments
done.
Coin door,
Also looking for a bally williams coin door and frame for plating and polishing experiments.
If you have anything that fits the bill, then please get in touch.
Thanks very much,
John
