Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has played / owns a Stern Walking Dead. Whats it like ? play any good ? got any videos of you playing it ?

Ive only owned a couple of Stern pins and didn't really rate the way they played.

Thanks,

Had a few games on a Pro at NLP and more recently on Replicas LE. Wasn't overly fond at first but does seem like a grower, especially when the code is updated further. Just a shame there seems to be a common issue with the crossbow on the LE version. The theme is very well used throughout, although would have preferred the Well Walker to have been a bit smaller, takes up too much playfield space for my liking.

@Michael J has a Pro, had a good play on it and enjoyed it a lot. Love the constant threat of center drains from the prison magnet and the pops, you would certainly get very good at slap saves owning one.

I'm really enjoying my Pro. Fast game, great flow, great music and somewhat different to anything else I can think of, in terms of layout. My Well Walker just fell off (hence the change in my avatar)! Looking forward to the code being developed.

Oh ****! Don't think a code update will fix that tho :-)

I dare not try and take the (now) single screw out, as that would likely disappear too. Thanks anyway Kev.

Thanks Peter. I have already purchased a similar product to secure the pop bumper trees on WOZ (horrid game!). Will check the speaker magnet.

loving my TWDLE, latest code was released before i recieved it ,loaded the 1.5 update and its fine, great dots and rules, my crossbow works fine, but as a lot of poeple are saying stateside the bicycle girl ramp has a bash toy underneath so the ramp is too steep to allow ball to flow 100% i recon i`m getting about 50%, there is talk of a fix for this in the future, added a few mods, the bicycle bash toy lighting mod, which should have been there at the start, this area is very dark when the ramp is up, mezel mod door canopy and woodbury light up sign, no regrets here in getting one  happy new year everyone

It's OK at the moment but nothing to shout about yet. If I'd believed there would have been a premium then I probably would have waited a couple of months to see how the code develops. At this moment I would put AC/DC, Metallica, LOTR and Spider Man above it. I think it's got potential but it's ****ing expensive for something to wait and see with. For me the theme was a must have but I could have bought an AC/DC and a decent WMS title for the same cash.

Not 100% convinced that the cross bow is a that exciting but I'm hopeful it will be better incorporated with the updates.

I suspect it will be a great machine but at the moment the code is lacking

Unfortunately that seems to be the case for pretty much all NIB games. Hopefully if you stick with it you'll end up with a game as good as Metallica or XMen are now. The theme is awesome so I hope they've sold enough to warrant putting their time in to update the code...

Well I love mine, it's got a few teething problems but they will get ironed out with code updates. I love the theme and as soon as it got said that it would be the next machine I had to have one. Game play is fast and some of the shots are really tight to get on a regular basis but that's one of the things I love about it. Game time can be short with the out lane drains and the sdtm drains but that's what makes you have that one more game.
The sounds are great but there is room for improvement and hopefully in later code we will see or hear some clips from the show and maybe some of the actors on the machine with some classic call outs.
Things can only get better. Bring it on.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has replied with their feedback. much appreciated.. Im really looking forward to playing one, the tv series (I'm just starting season4) has been excellent so the theme is a good one.

As a massive fan of the simpsons this was a must have also for me but i have to say tspp in my opinion was disappointing hence my original statement and question.

Thanks again.

this game now has a rulesheet - here: http://papa.org/2015/01/01/the-walking-dead-rulesheet/

oh, and a reasonably good topper for this game, assuming it could be properly secured, would be this 'head in a jar' idea that only needs access to a scanner, a laminating machine, and a big pickled onion jar. i did this myself a few years ago and can recommend it as a fine idea (less so for anyone married or with small kids, as this can probably be used as grounds for divorce)

Played a few credits at Play Expo (thought it was m pretty meh), and a good few more recently in HMV in Glasgow. It's just OK, feels over-familiar and a little dull. The pixel 'artwork' on the DMD looks as crap as Sterns Star Trek to my eyes and the music isn't great either. I'd rather play a Metallica tbh.
