Amazing advancements on virtual pinball software, as seen in the video!
I suppose its the Kinnect that's allows the screen to appear 3D, as it'll sence where you are. Without it, it would simply be 2d ( as a normal TV?)?
Yes, its using the kinect to detect your head position and moving camera viewing position in line with you moving your head to replicte looking around the playfield, the picture itself is still 2D.I suppose its the Kinnect that's allows the screen to appear 3D, as it'll sence where you are. Ok that looks pretty awesome...Vpx in vr is outstanding, combined with a pin sim controller, using force feedback, and nudge control. It’s as close to the real thing as you can get.
I’ve currently got a pin sim vr on order, cait wait for it to arrive
Basically it’s this, no doubt you can make your own, but as I’ve no knowledge of computers, or programming, I’ve gone down the purchase routeOk that looks pretty awesome...
So for a tech dumby can you explain this?
I have a quest 2 , is there some kinda box with flippers that you can use to give the effect of actually holding the table and using the flippers and plunger?
As if that's the case that sounds all kinds of exciting

I was intending to buy a real pin, had around 3k saved to buy one, and I’ve only got space for one. That's certainly an excellent alternative if you're short of space. And first time I've seen that concept. Just don't like wearing VR headsets
The oculus has a pass through option, basically double tap the side of the headset, and it activates the external cameras, meaning you can see without taking the headset off, albeit in black and white, it’s pretty coolHow do you drink your mid-ball beer with that headset on?
Joking aside.......it looks amazing. I'd love to try the headset for an extended time. I remember getting a 3D TV, I very quickly got fed-up wearing the 3d glasses every time I wanted to watch a movie.
The idea of access to lots of tables is great, and as you say.......very cost effective with the pin prices now
If you can find one, you could also buy an X-cade stick (both the Tank stick and 1 player stick have buttons at the side for pinball, with the tank stick having an extra button each side which I guess you could programme for nudge)I'm increasingly tempted by VR pinball...
I'm currently turning my old street fighter arcade stick into a virtual pin controller. Going to set the switches up on the side and hopefully successfully build in an arduino-like thing with accelerometers to build in nudging. Won't be quite the same as it will sit in my lap/on a table, but I'm hopeful it'll be a step closer to an actual pin.
Currently playing all this just with a couple of monitors, one in portrait, but not laid out anything like a real pin. Got FX3 and VPx all set up for whatever I fancy playing.
Space is my big blocker at the moment and I was already tempted by a quest 2 for non-pinball stuff...
Someone tell me I'm forgetting something before I run to argos and get a quest
