Venom Rumour as Stern's next pinball machine, thoughts?

Could be interesting but equally it could be a Spiderman rehash. Not bashing on Spiderman but you could hardly call it a new product if that's the case.

New design not a rehash of Stern Spider-Man, wait for that one in a year or too. No way Stern won’t drop another Spidey pin when no way home is tracking at endgame levels.

What is the source for this? It is normally Neil starting unproven rumours......

@SteadyP looks like you called it.
I pieced together what Zac Meny was hinting at on TPN and a few pinsiders were saying as much that it was a theme that has been in pinball before. One of my favourite comics from the 90’s also used to collect Maximum Carnage. Very cool illustrations- I’m sure Yeti will do a stellar job. Not seen the new movies but easy to see why Stern went with the license as I understand both films have been successful financially

Not movie based, yeti on comic art according to the rumours coming from the usual places.

Cheap license, peeps in USA are buying anything these days, maximum profit for Stetn.
💤
Nothing from Marvel/Disney is cheap.

US is definitely the craziest market but there’s plenty of crazy here too lol.

^^yeah, I’m sure sure Stern keep pumping these pins out at the tightest of margins because they are in such high demand.. lol

Sterns margins are very healthy but your right the demand is at an all time high, think someone said it recently that stern are now producing more games per week than they where pre covid and they are still backlogged like 5000-10000 games.

So was the Jaws talk just a load of nonsense?

In Chris's defence I was considering getting a Led Zeppelin too.

I once was really pleased to see comic book themed pins coming out thick and fast. Then i played a few. With the exception of Deadpool, they all suck to me.

I remember years ago people using the term 'cookie cutter' games. Usually when describing williams/bally titles. Stern took over that moniker and have elevated it to a whole new category of rinse-and-repeat boredom. Now those 'cookie cutter' games of old suddenly seem like masterpiece mechanical innovations of glory in comparison. I love what Stern have done with their art packages over the years and i do love a nice reliable pinball machine but with every title announcement my gusto for their games takes a hit.

Costs for Stern machines to me is a laughable joke (yawn). Don't get me wrong here. I'll pay a sky high price, but only for a sky high level of excellence, and i just dont see that with most Stern game designs. I think i'm in the minority though as demand just keeps ramping up. Am i wishing for too much? Was i spoiled by awesome williams/bally game design? Am i an ageing old t*t hell bent on exposing my mangina in public? Answers on a postcard.......🤣

A fee weeks back I asked a mate of mine who's a big comic fan what a new Marvel machine could be based on; he suggested Venom, as Marvel have been really pushing the character in the Comics.
The other day I then thought to myself that the most likely thing would be a re-skin/re-code of the last Stern Spider-Man pin, to tie in with the new SM film.

Let's see! ; personally I'd be more excited about a re-skinned SM, as didn't think Venom:LTBC was very good (thought it was somehow worse than the 1st film, which was kind of fun but naff)

I certainly don’t think stern are pumping out more than ever due to parts shortages
Distributor s are struggling to get any stock even on the USA I am sure if stern could fulfill all there orders they would
And this is fomo at its best we still haven’t seen the next title let alone the may one
