Thought I would offer this up here before throwing it to the wider world - I know a good few of you appreciate the classic vids as well. Here’s an original survivor from the Golden Age
Vanguard (Centuri 1981) Full size arcade machine
One of my all time faves as a kid - the sports and toy emporium in our town had a couple of video games for a while. I would save my dinner money survive on a bag of crisps and pump 10ps into Vanguard on the way home . Never tell my mum that.
Classic game. Think it was one of the first with speech, and music.
They don't seem to appear that often, I waited years for find one. But reality is I don't have space for a line of vid cabs really as much as I would like that to happen. And this is taking up serious tombstoning space for a pin

Fully working - including the all important speech and music.
Overall in presentable original unrestored condition. So usual expected wear to control panel etc , but its not bad.
Cab is solid . Missing one bit of T moulding near the bottom. Back door needs a new lock.
Side art pretty good shape - a few scratches.
Since I have had it it has had -
NEW Meanwell switching adjustable power supply
NEW control buttons
NEW joystick grommet
NEW clear perspex screen - replacing the original 'smoked' one which was a bit dark
A few things to note -
Small credit button added by a previous owner to coin door
Occasionally on switch on it freezes, but switch on/off again its then fine. No idea why but that's 44 year old video games for you. If you have ever owned them then you know you say a little prayer every time you turn it on
Has a background hiss to the audio - most noticeable in attract mode, in gameplay there is constant game noises/music/explosions so you dont really notice. Apparently this is very common on this game, have spoke to other owners the same, and seen online video of the same.
£900
Now £750
Martin been here loads of times.
A few pics coming shortly
