Attention pinball soldiers - here are some reconnaissance pics from my summer San Fran to Seattle road/camping trip ...I know you have all been waiting patiently for them

These first lot were taken at the Musee Mechanique in SF http://www.museemechanique.org/

Other game meccas I visited were Ground Kontrol in Portland, Seattle Pinball Museum, and Shortys Pinball Bar in Seattle. I'll post those later.

I had read about the place a while ago but to be honest had kind of forgotten it was in SF - so when we stumbled into it amongst the tourist hell of Fishermans Wharf you can imagine how pleased I was

Crammed with an insane collection of vintage/antique coin operated machines - including a bunch of classic video games and a few pins - Olympics (Gottlieb 1962) , Sing Along (Gott 1967) , Addams Family (Bally 1992), Indiana Jones (Williams 1993), Pirates Of The Carribean (Stern 2006) ... and a Hyperball (Williams 1982)

Interesting to see some other games in 'pinball like' cabs - such as Williams Upper Deck (1973) and Bally Sharpshooter (1961)

Oh and to play a fully working Bally Whirlybird (1969) again was just amazing

Cool pics Ive, I did pretty much the same trip two summers ago, Seattle was very cool and Portland is just the best place that I have ever been, me and my gf have vowed that we will live there at one point in our lives, the people, the place and of course the pinball just make it the coolest city in the world. Ground Kontrol is something else. Every few hundred yards that you walk there is a pin, I actually remember seeing a MM and a MB next to each other in a 7/11! Did you go to Avalon? Its the coolest little 40 seater cinema with an arcade out the front called Wunderland, I think it was $3 entry and then all the machines were 5 cents a play!! They had a BDK and a Shrek when I was there. Would love to see some more pics from Portland/Seattle if you have some.
