This was my favourite TV show ever. I remember finding it by chance on BBC2 in 1990 and it blew me away. The genius writing mixed in with it's unique humour, that killer score and simply addictive viewing couldn't be touched. This was in the days before streaming when you would have to wait a full week for the next episode to air. Yes ok the second series was a bit up and down in terms of the quality then series three went full out bonkers. The question on everyone's lips back then was "Who did kill Laura Palmer"?

Then they revealed it and killed the whole show, lynch never wanted the mystery solved but was pressurised by the studio and ultimately that's why he left the show and the 2nd season was a bit of mish mash. The return was incredible though, some of the best TV ever seen (and permitted) on mainstream tv. The prequel movie was also incredible but failed miserably at the Box office at the time as fans of the show were expecting something else more akin to thr TV show rather than a lynch movie.

Always been a lynch fan, I saw eraserhead and I was hooked on his stuff from there on in It’s still one of the weirdest films I’ve ever seen
