So this week it has been said Raw Thrills is making Twiight Zone. A company that has not made pinball before.

Plus also something I asked about a long time ago - Big Bang Bar has also been mentioned (company unknown).....

BBB with an LCD screen and new code.

Came up on a Facebook post that was removed quickly.

So I wonder as Gene Cunningham owned the rights to BBB and Williams (sold to Wayne and then Planetary Pinball/CGC) - if CGC is going to do BBB? Do remember at one time they seemed to be selling a lot of capcom parts.

Lol christ... in at the deep end with TZ!

I doubt it's a cost effective remake if done properly, touted as the most costly machine ever made

But with modern electeonics what is difficult? All the design is done. Copying anything is easier than making it.
CGC, spooky, stern run off low end pc boards. A rpi will run any old bally williams game in 2023

Hall sensors and LEDs make other things easier.

The clock will probably be an OLED screen.

Apparently someone bought up all the TZ ramps from somewhere, not sure that means it’s being remade though as you would be having them made surely to have spares.

I wouldnt pay attention to this. A bit like the post that was put up about Harry Potter about a year ago.

From memory I think someone else writes these for Phil. Think it may be James ex-Pinball bazaar.
It doesn’t say anything anyway just that Stern would be in the best to make it, the largest and most consistent manufacturer of pins? No **** 😂

@J85M - they did make the MM remakes initially.

If I was to start a company making pinball machines - I would simply get Stern to make them.

Not that this is going to happen..... unless it is me who is making BBB's :)

I have dug out my old Oric Atmos to do the machine code for it.....

Hell even I would throw in some free embedded electronics design and firmware programming consultancy if I knew it could give me a chance of buying a BBB for a reasonable NIB price!

Ok I’m hungover and will be the grouch today …. 😁Is BBB all that anyway ? Or is it hype based purely on its rarity and circumstance ?

The hype has swirled around this since I’ve been into pinball . Never played one , except maybe an emulation on my PC years ago ?

It is hype
A friend has one of the remakes, it looks pretty, but if there was 3000 of them they would not get the premium price
I am sure they will sell plenty during the re-re-make

It’s ok, fairly simple rule set, think I got to the end when @Sven Normansson, @bartron and I played it years ago. Looks lovely, plays nice but the moans of the tube dancer are annoying

I think Raw Thrills will be making BBB. I know that RETROCENGO mentioned in his latest videos that Pedretti games will be releasing a Bally/Williams remake game and my bet this is TZ. They'll be using the Pinball Brothers Manufacturing plant to achieve this.

Pinball Brothers is already working on their next title.

I also remember an Podcast interview with CGC who said they haven't renewed their Bally/Williams license as they think there's no more money left in the remaining licenses. This ties in well with the rumours surrounding Pedretti taking on a Bally/Williams license.

Mark my words:

CGC: New titles from this point onwards
BBB: Raw Thrills
TZ: Predetti/Pinball Brothers

Pedretti make pinball brothers products.

I have heard CGC are not going to be the only people making Bally/Williams remakes.....

Just for clarity, I do not write those blog posts, nor am I in any way ITK 😂

cgc = proven reliability and build kwality

the others……….
Yes - but CGC had some fails before MM. Vacation America was hardly brilliant. The jukeboxes they build also did not sell well.....

I can not deny that they have great build quality nowadays - the only thing I would say is the gearboxes and motors are not as good as the originals.

The main problem I have with CGC is if they announced another remake it is probably 3 years away from landing in your collection!
