Over two years ago (I think?) @Spandangler was kind enough to let me borrow his tumbler for my first project that really needed it. Then it ended up being here for multiple projects until it returned to Gaz only recently..

I think I got through over four full refills of the tumbler media, it got so much use.

I've got a few big projects lined up for next year so require a tumbler of my own.

The classic work horse seems to be the Berry one, but it seems a rare beast in the UK to buy new.

I've encountered two contenders, the Lyman 1200 and the Gibson.
I'm not sure about the Lyman because of the holes in the lid, I remember if I left the lid off the Berry one it would be much noisier and put dust everywhere.

The Gunson seems better at first glance but I have no idea on quality, searching this forum it hasn't been mentioned at all, where the Lyman seems popular.

I'm happy to buy new but if someone's got a tumbler they'd give up I'd also be interested 😄

The pro 1200 I borrowed before buying one.
Don’t get that one the dust goes everywhere, make sure it doesn’t have vent holes.

To combat the dust, simply put a carrier bag over the top - problem solved.

The Lyman is great and I Had one for many years

I did that in the end. If your buying new which I did, choose the enclosed one.

I use a Dillon Precision CV-750, good size but not cheap. They do one a bit bigger for not a lot more, was out of stock when I bought mine.

I originally had the Lyman 1200 but the dust was getting everywhere even when I covered the lid. As @Happypin says, if your buying new, get one with a sold lid.

I eventually upgraded to the Lyman 2500 as it came with a solid lid.
