So pinside is discussing the next stern and people are saying it could be Tron Vault , Any thoughts on this anyone got the inside track ?

Never say never, but I just don’t see the demand for a Tron VE - by that I mean a carbon copy of the Pro, not some hybrid “Premium but definitely not another LE” or a reskin with new dots, sound and art like Spider-Man Vault.

Lyman loosely hinted a while ago that Tron would be one he’d like to update given the chance, just like he did for Iron Man 10yrs after original release.

Good old pin side John Borg has also been teasing with pics of stuff on fb today
If they did do a vault edition then who in the uk is going to pay £6500 for it errrmmm that will be nobody you can buy a nice huo le for that

So is a VE just a pro with different artwork? I always thought it was a full bells and whistles version. Like one above a premium?

a Vault Edition is just a carbon copy of an existing game. Same art, board set, same playfield (with improvements if required - like on the second Iron Man VE).

Tron had 2 versions - the LE and Pro only. No Premium as such. The LE was the Premium, but was limited. I don’t really class the comic book editions of games as VE’s, they’re sometimes very different requiring new DMD art, audio, etc as licenses may have expired or not be appropriate anymore.

I'd certainly like to see them vault it but this has been talked about for ages. Used Trons are still selling for silly money in the US so unless you see them come down sharply I don't think its on the cards.

Even the LE needs a fair bit of money spent on it to bring it up to the spec you would want.
Luckily, the ones floating around UK have had the money invested in them already.
