OK, so im pretty sure no matter what i do i just cant start light cycle or quorra multiball. I make the required shots to ligfht the feaures but when i shoot the videogame shot it doesnt start any mode and just spits the ball out...?????

I took off the glass to try and force it to start, but no matter what i try it just wont go into quorra or light cycle multiball even when lit and completing the correct shots.

Can anyone confirm EXACTLY how to start either of these features?? I think im going insane here..

Many thanks good folk of pinball....

To start either of these modes you must make the required shot the number of times to get the corresponding arrow next to flynn's arcade to light, then get Flynn's arcade scoop to 'collect', or 'start' the feature.

For Quorra, the shot is the left inner loop with the spinner and the DMD will tell you how many more are needed before its lit. For the light cycle mode it's a case of getting enough ramps that are lit with a light cycle. Again, the DMD will tell you how many. T ahas to be the same one though, you can't keep getting your favourite ramp

If Flynn's arcade is registering the ball going in then I don't really see any reason it wouldn't start the mode unless it hadn't been earnt yet?

Completing the mode is an entirely different matter, and often quite hard!

[Edit] RE: light cycle ramps, that should read that it has to be Different ramps. Can't be your favourite one etc.

Damn iPad, so called keyboard!

I can get both modes to light but cant collect when i hit the scoop. After a bit of investigation, it appears the switch arm in the scoop doesnt close fully when the ball sits at the very bottom of it. The switch works and registers the ball going into the scoop in the switch test, but in game the ball goes in and the game kicks it right back out again, even when lit with both quorra/light cylce multiball. Perhaps with the switch not closing fully when the ball is in there causing this problem?

I'll have to have a fiddle with it tomorrow. Went on a right obsession with it today....to be continued...

Cheers for the info fella, i know i'm not going mad now. haha....

All sorted now. A nut had worked loose on the microswitch bracket causing it to move around when the ball hit it. Lucky my local model shop had some of those uber tiny imperial nuts so im back in business.....
