I've not got a prob with either of the Elvira games but they are narrowing the market. Elvira is a yank thing she did nothing and had no impact in the uk
EAPTM and SS both did very well in the UK for ops. Elvira in particular did far better than its sister game BK2K which was too hard for casual players. When i first saw EATPM I presumed it was an original theme following on from Dr Dude until Gary Flower sort of explained who Elvira was. Party monsters was Williams first licensed game since World Cup so they were taking a big risk at the time.
But speaking as a SS owner, it is a fantastic game. Simple, crazy fun that puts a smile on your face. Kids love the theme. Adults love the innuendos.
I think that the best feature of SS is actually the call outs. Elvira and the other fella really speak with gusto - which is rare in pinball. It is a bit like the Afdams Family, a game that also benefits from superb call outs
