I have always wanted to go to a big USA event - so have decided on Texas in 2024.

Already left it too late to get the main hotel - but have booked - Tru by Hilton Frisco Dallas. - which seems near enough.

The present Mrs H, having enjoyed Pinfest has sanctioned trip - and we will be spending approx. three weeks travelling around afterwards. So, any advice regarding both TPF and things do around that part of USA. We will hire a car as a road trip type holiday is our preference.

If music is your thing I would def hit Austin 🎸 🙌 Smaller , friendlier than Dallas with a resident population of freaks and geeks rather than good old boys.

You got time to do a good road trip so you could head east to Louisiana / New Orleans for a real change of scene.

For outdoor stuff / hiking / landscapes Big Bend National Park , and New Mexico 🏜️

Hi Mike, great to hear your coming over to Texas '24, me too. This will be my 3rd visit, you wont be disappointed, I spend alot of time up in the competition area but the show itself is larger than life. The variety of machines is so widespread, last year we had Humpty Dumpty where it all began along with 15x Foo Fighters, 6x Pulp Fiction and I think every new release around. Not sure what your non pinball tastes are, probably different to mine but I went to Tennesse first (or however you spell it) I did pigeon forge and Dollywood last year and fell in love with the place. Went Horse riding through the Smokey mountains and did the Titanic museum also.
Year before I went straight over to Dallas, did the arbetorium and the world aquarium and Cidercade there is a must.
Will be doing the pingolf masters in Chicago this year the weekend before and spending couple days there but plan to arrive in Dallas on the Wednesday.
I love the Country western and live music scene when i go but there is plenty to do whatever your tastes.

Thanks for encouraging reply. We did Dollywood after Graceland on our first USA trip a few years ago! Ill not be competing - but will cheer you on - I have forgiven you for making my Pinfest Classics score look so small 😂 .

Arbetorium looks great - Mrs H will love that.

We stayed at the Hyatt house frisco in 2019 and we where actually closer to the show than the people staying in the embassy suites as we where diretly across the road from the front door of the shows main hall

decent rooms also, with decent buffet breakfast
