Oh my, God! Where do I start? Too many choose from...

  1. PARAGON no special favouritism but it is the most beautiful pin ever made
  2. CENTAUR II same as original CENTAUR - I just love the kooky cabinet
  3. FLASH GORDON epic theme! A pin starring Ming the Merciless cannot fail
  4. MR & MRS PAC-MAN totally underrated because of the video game tie-in
  5. SPACE INVADERS a pinball that looks like it was designed by HR Giger? Awesome!

1) Flash Gordon
2) Paragon
3) Centaur
4) Skateball
5) Fathom

Some of the best games ever made

Flash Gordon
Fathom
Centaur
Eight Ball Deluxe
Paragon

Although I could easily name another 5 on top of that as early Bally's are incredible!!!!

1) Flash Gordon
2) Fathom
3) Medusa
4) Centaur
5) Dolly Parton

Would love to play a Dolly Parton again. Not played one of those for ages :)

Absolutely! I'm still kind of gutted that they didn't survive as their own entity. I rate their games higher (with better electronics, better rules, better sounds, speech) than the equivalent williams games from the same eras

I really enjoy playing the early SS Ballys, so my top five favourites in order :

1) Harlem Globetrotters on Tour
2) Dolly Parton
3) Silverball Mania
4) Space Invaders
5) Medusa

Very hard to choose a top five. I could list several others like Paragon, Playboy, Rolling Stones and Centaur that I like playing too!

Oh god I love Harlem too! And Xenon, and Dolly, god there are so many incredible games!

For me there are a few defining factors that set these machines apart from any other era in pinball. The artwork was amazing. But really it comes down to a couple of things, inline drop targets, those things on these Bally's are like a crack addiction for me, I literally can't get enough. And the flippers, although they aren't perhaps as powerful as the Williams ones of the same era, I love the amount of control you have with the Bally flippers. It's a completely different skill set

1. Fathom
2. Dolly Parton
3. Rolling Stones
4. Eight Ball Deluxe
5. Flash Gordon

Ridiculous number of great games. Fathom and Dolly I'm pretty certain would stay, but a lot of the other games would need to change depending on what day of the week this question was asked.
