TILT Movie on Youtube

Yup, a treat the first time around but always a good reminder of where it came from, where it has been, the people who maintained the dream and us lot who are still here keeping it alive, god bless pinball.

i especially liked the Pat Lawlor quote at 55:50:

"the actual idea of video in a pinball is not a bad idea... i think it remains to be seen if it'll ever see the light of day again"

Let's hope his JJP work delivers on this.

Yeah, I noticed the seller was devon020305 right after I posted my comment. It was just the coincidence really. I watched the film this morning knowing very little about Pinball 2000, only there was this very cool game called Revenge From Mars with massive cabinet due to the monitor. Didn't know anything about the Star Wars Episode 1 game. I've got a saved search email alert on eBay that attempts to find new UK-based pinball stuff (whilst filtering out all the keyrings and XBox games) and in this evening's alert was this SWE1. Bizarre.

Out of interest is that £2k a fair price for a P2K and/or SWE1? I realise that Jah-Jah Binks is a character with a Marmite reputation and one man's POPEYE is another man's GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, but are these things pretty collectible due to rarity/novelty etc.?

You know what, I actually met the man himself at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a few years back (he was a judge on some classic car exhibition, along with Rolf Harris, of all people) and I asked him what the idea with Jar Jar was all about, he scuttled off without answering.

Sorry to swerve this thread in a totally random direction, but any one even a teensy bit interested or excited about the new film being made. I keep getting secret leaked photos of X-Wings in the British countryside appearing in my Facebook feed.

Great documentary, I've watch this quiet a few times over the years and still find it fascinating to watch.
