Hi all,

I have a question for you.

I ordered a refurbished DMD for mt ST Premium. Unfortunately it was a DOA (Dead On Arrival). Refused to power on and was missing a dot LED in the Centre of the DMD (likely related to the fact it won't even power on).

I raised a support ticket with Cointaker over 2 weeks ago but they said they would send a replacement and a return lable but I've received no confirmation.

I don't want to raise chargeback on my card and give them the benefit of the doubt here but its getting a bit silly that they ignoring my messages for an update.

Has anyone had any experiences with Cointaker (good or bad?)

Why order a re furnished on all the way from the states
If you put a wanted add up on here I am pretty sure you would have got a mint one for £100 or less or an other option is buy a colour one from pinball palace
 
Firstly, I'm surprised to hear you have a problem with CoinTaker.

I have known the people at CoinTaker for many years and, from my perception they work tirelessly to provide excellent value for money and customer service.

Inevitably, sometimes things go wrong.

I would be very much inclined to give them the benefit of any doubt.

I suggest you send a polite email to Melissa and ask her find out what's going on.

I ordered at the time well before (6 weeks ago) I joined or even knew of this forum. I looked and looked and everywhere wanted £300 or more. Cointaker at the time was the cheapest option I could find..

Hi Gary,

Since putting in this post. I have just received a PayPal refund from them, Coincedance?

I had chased on three occassions politely nudging for a response. It seems like they can't offer a replacement so looks like i'll be following Chris B's advice on a wanted AD.
 
Cointaker are great and agree with Gary.

It will be on the list eventually right now I'm prioritising funds for the next pin.

Will stick to the standard DMD for now.

I would of posted here 'wanted DMD for STERN'
Loads kicking around here due to the pin2dmd group buys.

I have never seen a refurbished DMD - just used ones. Not really anything to refurbish (unless a non working LED square was replaced).

In your game do yourself a favour and fit a colour dmd of some kind - really adds !
