Looks like ol' JPOP may have got himself out the poop. Can it be true?

Speechless!

They are new pics. The cabs are different. Heres a pic of the older type:

The new cabs have two buttons and don't look as steep as the older type.

Lets hope he's not trying to pull another fast one by showing these pics by proxy. I smell a rinse and repeat approach to scamming more folk here.

I wonder if the vendors he owes money to will be made whole by this American Pinball company?

People would have to be mad to put any cash down on this. New start up company combined with someone who'd got a track record of shafting his last lot of customers.:cuckoo:

And who in their right mind would believe the "by the end of 2016" quote. So in 12 weeks they will finish the design, software, get parts made and manufacture all the machines. Even with Stern manufacturing it and standard playfield parts look how long PPS took to get MMr made

Legit IMO.

Aimtron Electronics are behind American Pinball. They definitely have the expertise and resources to turn something like this round relatively quickly, and unlike all the other new entrants - JJP, DP, HW, HP, SC, SP, CGC - their background should mean that development of whatever their platform is ought to be much quicker.

The founder of Aimtron's son is the founder of AP.

The major doubt is about exactly what JPop's role is. If he or 'Zidware' are just a contractor, all should be dandy. If they were stupid enough to give him a managerial role in the company or capital ... oh dear.

How do you get this insider info @ducks? Or is this all already discussed on Pinside or summet?

Not insider. Just Google-fu.

Was partially discussed on Pinside, did a few searches, confirmed most of it, found a bit more.

I may be wrong, but I suspect the photos of the MG cabs were taken in Aimtron's Palatine IL facility. It's not too far from the registered office of AP, on the North side of Chicago.

Houdini looks a bit funky but other than that it looks pretty awesome imo

Almost a fully finished game

Looks good ....

Could never own a Houdini as its always had a very different meaning to me and my mates :)

quoted from the urban dictionary

TOP DEFINITION
houdini

"In doggystyle position, the man pulls out and spits on their partner's back, fooling them into thinking that he has ejaculated, however, when their partner turns around, the man lets loose his baby yoghurt in his partner's face.

I took my weenie and pulled a houdini in her eye, then she cried.

Jesus.

That's dragged the thread into the gutter.

Haha. Will's sexual habits are all coming out now. First it was cleveland steamers, now this peek-a-boo j*z trick? What next? Felching? *sniggers*

I really like the look of this, but reading Pinside's thread on it makes me fee dirty for doing so!

I hope this works out as I can see myself buying one at some point..

Still don't see why they seem to have employed/partnered with Jpop rather than sub contracting him. But if they make good on his previous table orders I guess good on them

Isn't the consensus on Pinside that this is an empty box with pretty lights that will never be made to work?
