Been thinking about this for a while... What's everyone else that's been doing it think about how it's been going?

I was thinking about these as the first games, mostly because they have been stripped and shopped (LEDs, silicone rubber, etc), and mechanically and electronically gone through by @new forest pinball

Whitewater (on rent atm)
Sopranos
Family Guy
LOTR
STTNG
NGG

I'll have more available once they are gone through.

I was thinking £600 for six months and £950 for 12 months. You pickup and drop off or use Martin.

I was also thinking about making available earlier 80s games; do you think there's any demand to rent for those?

I am thinking of how to deal with the paperwork, and general wear and tear versus fixing an issue.

What's people's thoughts?

If this ends up happening I can 100% recommend renting games from @Alpha1 - I’ve had his WH2O for a few months now and it’s been a great experience all round. The game plays beautifully, very impressed by the work done by @new forest pinball. I’ve also seen his STTNG and NGG and they’re both great looking machines. If you’re interested in trying out any of those games I’m sure you wouldn’t be disappointed.

If there your machines id imagine you'd be responsible for repairs apart from obvious misuse/abuse etc. I wouldn't want to be renting a game for 6 months and a month in something dies and Iam facing a repair bill on a machine that isint even mine through no fault of my own. It's one thing when you own the machine and another when your only renting it.

As someone who has rented from Chris in the past he is spot on with the 3mth term as this is the perfect Honeymoon period.
If you are still enjoying it as much as you did day1 then it’s probably a consideration to maybe own one or extend the loan till it’s out of your system.

That's a good point. If something goes wrong with it, how does it get fixed? Does the renter refund money for every day/week it is out of action? Do they pay the return delivery cost if it breaks and can't be fixed onsite?

I think this is it for me, as the devil is in the detail and I am surprised we have not seen these issues come up already given the amount of rentals we are seeing.

Also, are these machines being PAT tested before going into people’s homes.

It’s one of these things that is all fine as long as there are no issues, but becomes a ****show when something goes wrong.
