The Pinservatory

Yayy - after much delay (about a year thanks to covid induced job losses & covid induced extra business for the building trade), work on the pinservatory starts tomorrow

Currently looks like this



With all that glass, it is stupidly hot in summer & stupidly cold in the winter, so all we're really doing is having the roof changed for a solid one with some insulation. I'm going to miss the fairy lights, though - we put them up a few Christmases ago & decided to leave them up permanently.



All empty now & ready for the guys to start - reckon I can get 10 in there at a push, but I'd have to lose the sofa

Apparently sitting down is also bad for you now, so there’s your reasoning.

Day 1 progress - just about weatherproof, which is good as it's started raining

Day2 - bit of timber up & some insulation

Day 4 - fully insulated inside, some tiles outside. Electrician due tomorrow to sort out lighting - need to get some extra sockets fitted while he's at it.

Day 8 - Roof & gutters finished, interior plastered. Need to wait for it to dry before we can paint it, will be weekend at the earliest.

Taken a while since it's only been us getting it back together, & probably not the final layout, but they're all going to Daventry in a few weeks, so will rejig after that.

Incredible difference - even in the recent really hot spell it was still bearable in there.
