What do you think it is? It’s probably not as obvious as you think, basically it is something within most peoples price range which is highly popular, that rules out the MM and AFM as the majority of people into pinball have no intention of throwing 5k at an old title, my thoughts were the TAF, still fairly priced in the scheme of things, top of the Noobs list, most successful pinball of all time with the largest production run and yet the demand way outstrips the supply which makes it highly sought after or is it the new AC/DC??

I'd agree with you on TAF. Everybody seems to want one. And considering there are so many they fetch a very healthy price.

Probably not X Files or Stern's Rolling Stones, as those two seem to be getting plenty of 'never again' votes. I reckon 'most sought after' means flavour of the month, so I'll chip in White Water

I would say AFM and TAF - both sell pretty quickly when available tho I am biased as I love AFM

TAF at the moment - they all sell, no matter what the condition is and price keeps going up. Crossed it off my list.

As above.

They're creepy and they're kooky,Mysterious and spooky,They're all together ooky,The Addams Family.

I think they are within reach to a lot more potential customers than the AFM, the thing hand is an awesome feature when you see it for the 1st time, I was hooked and had to have a TAF, still no AFM though, price creep is steady, TAF always was and always will be popular which makes it a good contender for the title.

I remember playing TAF for the first time and being amazed at Things hand and the magnets. Still one of my favourites

Wow, forgot about seance, (it's been at least a year since I played my TAF

) that is awesome also, I suppose it is no accident why TAF sold so many units.

Seance and main multiball, all made more fretful and exciting to the new player because you can't predict where the ball will drain.

When I introduce new players to the machine, I try to demonstrate THING and the magnets quickly, that usually gets them into it.

What about TZ? maybe SM?.....tbh I think your right with TAF but thought I'd chuck something different in there

Certain titles certainly have periods of being 'in vogue' ...I remember a few years back when Frankenstein and Indy 500 had a surge of interest. And for a short time Capcoms Pinball Magic was all the rage and uber popular at shows.

At the moment I'd say WH2o is back on the Most Wanted list for many, and Johnny M has slowly been building a reputation after being pretty much ignored for most of the 2000s oddly. GNR too seems to be back on the radar also.

IM hard to find and getting more popular as well. BSD in the States has seen big upsurge.

Actually reckon IM may be hardest to find right now.

I think it was Chris Bucci's Youtube vid on the JM which made me take the plunge, he is probably responsible for a lot of the recent interest, love his vids and his taste in pins and thanks to him I've got mine

WH2O is deffo in high demand but not enough to clinch a sale at a not so insane price, that one for £2000 on ebay did not get a look, £2000 for a desirable pin in nice shape is not wildly out of the ballpark, if it was a TAF at an elevated price it would have sold, I think that is the difference maybe.

This year I have bought three great Gottlieb Sytem 80 pins, all for less than a grand.Ya dont need to spend a fortune to have some good pin fun:pThe glass is nice and tough to break too;)
