It had struck just now less than 24 hrs before our league meet. Games playing up like heck. all been working fine for weeks. 😂😂😂

- 8 ball deluxe hanging up mid game
- fireball II serving two balls
- meteor stinking like burning wood after 10 mins
- lightning pf bonus display flickering
- 2 of my wall art backglass displays on the blink

the last one has me worried but can’t find the cause. all coils working and no signs of any burnt out stuff. very strange. unless it was the machine next to it. that’s the problem with all machines on, and a smell of burning hits your nostrils? panic which machine is it ???

out with the 🧰😂😂😂

I was genuinely quite surprised that none of our machines decided to play up before our event a few weeks ago! Probably the only time they have all played perfectly at the same time 😂

Many thanks to you both, Alan & Claire - excellent chilli & great pinball. I'm kinda glad a couple of machines were taken out though, I don't think I've ever been so physically tired after a meet before.

Yes, thanks Alan to you and Claire for a great day of pinball. A fantastic games room, pins and hospitality, cheers.

You still have a 'parking police' neighbour though..... found a notice on my windscreen for parking on the private lane, no doubt only as it was outside 'their' house 😄
Aww sorry. I know who it would be. he sends me a hand delivered letter whenever he has something to gripe about rather than just popping round and talking it over. weird as chuff.

Ah no worries, had crazy neighbours myself once. Maybe we're just pinball 'riff-raff'... or maybe it's just me 😄

Many Thanks for hosting Alan and Clare, we had a fun filled fantastic time 👍

You have the most beautiful games room that I have ever seen 💙💙💙

One of the good things about hosting a league meet is that your machines get a bloody good testing ! Had quite a list of jobs to get through this week:

1. paragon in line drops not popping up when all are knocked down. - Problem due to the springs on the targets being too strong- weakened each and all working as should.

2. fireball ii, rhs drop target, rh target popping up too far and getting stuck up. - tricky issue to fix, but eventually sorted by widening the frame with a washer so the drop target link arm stays in its channel and no longer pops out.

3. lightning and cosmic gunfight - both occasionally not registering the ball drain - switch adjustments

4. Fireball ii losing rubber nuts. - replace with metal ones.

5. Cosmic gunfight major issue. a dodgy flipper eos switch was bent to try make it work, after failing part way through the comp. , unfortunately i bent it too far and it touched the next switch in the stack - the lane change switch. that blew 50v down the switch matrix. blew out all the row and column driver ic’s - 3 socketed and one not. - all now socketed and new 706 and 4049 ics installed. Also discovered a blown transistor on the right sling. Rh orbit switch not registering a fast ball rollover - adjust.

6. Wh20- ball getting stuck on top micro switch - arm needed adjusting.

7. centaur - started clocking up bonus on flipper activations. sorted on the day, an over sensitive roll over switch. adjusted and tested all rollovers again.

Feel like i’ve done nothing but fix faults this week. 😂😂😂😂.
