found something that works really well - not cheap but has the functionality I want:

C-9303_Temperature(℃) _ 17.3℃_2019-11-27_10_23_17.png

https://www.ubibot.io

talks to Alexa anf has ifttt and an really good api - the web front end is super configurable - also has flood monitoring and light monitoring if that's useful! get it from amazon!

I use a cheap digital min/max temp/humidity meter in my gamesroom, runs at 15c/18c with heater on frost setting but comes on now and again, humidity runs 48%/54% with a dehumidifier set at 50% which also adds some heat. Room is built into my garage. Happy with that, not fitted ac yet.

Can see why it has flood and lighting monitor 😎

Nice gadget to have!

Looks interesting, but not sure it would give me any more data on temperature changes than a min / max thermometer.

I also run my (small) Games Room at 17 degrees, with humidity at 50%.

I use a small oil filled radiator to heat. What does everyone else use?

Never given a flying f*** about temp or humidity in my pinshack.

10 years now - absolutely zero issues.

Yes I know there can be issues with extremes of temperature but unless you are in a damp, leaky old uninsulated outhouse/garage... I wouldn't lose sleep.

Stop worrying your pretty little heads about stuff. You'll be dead soon [emoji3]

Sarge,
Indeed I don’t think my shed has dropped below 10C ever - I’m just a gadget freak LOL.

My room is built in my garage which is pretty big, the room has 10 pins in a line so a good size and I have a small Dimplex fan heater set to 1kw on frost setting but does come on for a few mins every now and again even though it’s over 15c plus a small dehumidifier set to 50% that only uses a few hundred watts that’s adds some heat. Pretty frugal on power draw, outside in the garage has only got down to about 5c so time will tell how good the insulation is but so far so good considering I did it pretty cheaply.

Central heating and a Nest.
