Tales From The Crypt - green inserts on top of backbox !?

Just saw a TFTC today that had 5 or 6 large green 'hotdog' inserts on top of the backbox. :eyebrows: Never seen this before on the few I have seen. I assume this was intended for some sort of topper lighting effects which they then never did.

Anyone else seen these ?, I wonder how many went out of factory like this.

EDIT - apparently prototypes had this with lighting/flashers fitted. This one has no sign of the lighting hardware though. If I owned it , it would be a mod just waiting to happen :)
 
I had one of these prototype cabs. I never got round to fitting any lights there though. Would have looked cool but I moved it on before getting round to it.

Pictures would have been nice. Like they say pic's or it didn't happen.
Don't know who says that but someone did.

Looks like they where planing on lighting the topper with errie green light.
Another thing that never came off.
 
That would be pretty neat. good spot. Any other games had this?
