can anyone tell me where i can buy a colour dmd for my twilight zone,in the uk ? and whats the difference with led or lcd, thanks for any info.

LCD gives you a cleaner colour dot, LED is harsher due to being RGB mixed. But neither give you that comforting 100V strobing whine on the halftone

Sometimes second hand ones come up on here, but they go quick when priced well. Otherwise as above, they’re the importer.

I prefer LCD, and have that in all my games. others like LED - plenty of debate on here about each!

The alternative is Pin2DMD which is cheaper and easier to source, though opinions say isn't quite as good.
I currently have a colordmd LCD (Family Guy), colordmd LED (tommy) and a pin2dmd (DE SW)
I'd say the colordmd LED is clearly the harshest to look at and I have tweaked the settings to reduce this, so would not dismiss the pin2dmd in the conversation.

@stumblor manufactures HD XL Pin2DMDs with lighted speaker panels, which are very cool. You have to buy/download the colorisations separately, however, and the quality of the colorisation does vary. Our Creech is better than a colorDMD. Our AFM is great in terms of the size/animations, but the colorisation is a bit patchy quality-wise.

For the price difference I'd be going down the Pin2DMD route.
