Looking at helping someone with a switched mode power supply upgrade/replacement and...
I found something interesting and was wondering if someone else may have an insight in.
Meanwell power supplies which are the good quality ones used in spooky and stern games have 2 main fanned versions. Stern uses the RSP model ones which are auto current overload recovering, where as spooky supply the SE model ones which require reboot after overload.
Also i have noticed on the mouser website it states SE models are not available for sale in UK or EU due to 'government regulations forbid the sale'
Anyone know what the regulations they are talking about might be? everything is RoHS so that's not it. ?? Which also begs the question why are they in spooky games shipped to the uk/europe?
