It can start with scarlet fever which is very common in kids.
It's bacterial and so 100% treatable.
Unlike covid, which is virus and not easily treatable, strep clears up v easily with a course of antibiotics.
None of the 11 children who have become seriously ill with it took antibiotics early on.
First signs are temperature.
If you see that, just phone docs, get medicine, you're all good.
The only people at risk are those who aren't educated on the above, so fear not.
