Ah OK, the instructions said it was required on boards that don't have 2 capacitors installed on the bottom right hand corner beside the connector for the shaker but it may have been old information, thanks for the headsup 👍

I might be wrong though, I would always check the bulletins on Sterns website whenever I got a new pin and I remember when buying shakers asking why they no longer come with the capacitor and was told it was no longer needed.
 
Ah OK, I was only asking as I received a shaker kit from stern-eu during the week and it included the capacitor kit and I was unsure if needed but in the end the board in the pin had the capacitors installed so wasn't required. Here's the instructions that came with the capacitor kit

Shaker needs capacitor kit??

From looking into this myself I’m getting mixed results. Does a Rev C Stern shaker motor, installed on JP Pro,need the Capacitor kit (as per the 2018 stern bulletin saying possible slam switch issues without it) or not? Mines working fine but came across a thread where someone blew the cabinet...

If you do need one I've got this one spare you can have 👍 also the last non official stern shaker motor I bought from pinsound also included the capacitor kit

I have a spare myself but cheers, all mine have the newer board so no need for the inline one 👍
 
Nice one just checked mine and only one without the caps on node board was bksor (which coincidentally used to be yours 🤣)
