Stern rewards program

Quick question, has anyone ever used this in the UK or is it completely useless to non North Americans?

Apparently those who finish world top 1000 in the rankings, or are players of the month etc can buy a NIB pinball machine at RRP cost from Stern (I believe). Assume with shipping, VAT and other stuff it is of no use to us? Or maybe I'm wrong - does anyone know?

I'm pretty sure by the time you add shipping and duty there isn't much in it. You also have to wait for a considerable amount of time.

Many of us (in the UK and Europe) have looked in to it.... it is effectively for North American customers only...

@Lecari 's friend Dann qualified for this last year and I think looked into it. I don't know how far he got though.
Did seem like any savings were cancelled out by the time you factor in fees.

I asked if those overseas could get a substitute even just swag and was politely told nope .
