Stern node board hardware upgrades

A while ago manage to get the node board upgrade for GB. Finally got around to fitting yesterday no problems - 2 min job.

However there was a second one which referred to D9 and a stability upgrade...



But... it says this refers to the two node boards... however D9 isn’t a tabbed device, is surface mount....



Any thoughts, since this doesn’t look like it will work at all!! Are there different revisions of node board for the same machine??

Pretty sure there is a thread taking about this saying that the pic above node board does not require the fix @philpalmer will know more about this then anyone i think
