Update: I'm overwhelmed with all the responses and offers of glass, had a few choices that weren't too far off! In the end I went with the one that meant I'd still get home ready for work the next day... Up at 0330

Yeah i pulled the glass out, didn't even touch anything... Shattered two thirds out.

Anyone in east anglia or bit further have any glass? Doesn't have to be perfect!

There’s been an increase in exploding glass recently, not heard of one for ages then a few in quick succession - coincidence or does the cold weather have an impact on this at all I wonder.

Crown glass in Ipswich only have 4mm which they may be able to get ready for Saturday. If you want 5mm they have to out source it. It’s about £40 a sheet.

Pinball-Covid. Probably Brexit, Chip Shop shortages, Black Thursday, gremlins, Y2K Bug or maybe something even more sinister.... you never know.

Might give them a try

533mm x 1092mm x 5mm, toughened, polished edge (so you don't cut your fingers), no safety stamp, if you're going to a glazier.

I’ve got a spare scratched sheet you can have that would see you through until you get another sheet sorted. I’m working tomorrow in Cambridge but could bring it in the back of my car if you wanted to meet me to collect it so you have it before Saturday. Let me know if that’s any good
