Wanted Squawk and Talk or TMS5200NL chip needed

I might have a board. I just don't know where I've put it.
Not sure of its working condition though as I took it out as part of my Space Invaders shop.

On the good note, TMS5220 cost less than £5 from China. At the worst case scenario, got something for testing.

...Obviously, board and original chip still needed.

I have a few of these. It will be £40 though due to their scarcity.

I also have one that sounds like a more gravelly voice you can have for a tenner.

i don't think 5220 are a working substitute for 5200
clock timings causing distorted sound or similar
think Nevs offer is fair and UK so no delay/customs etc
cheers Bob

Yes. I'm aware of that but at least I'd know if there is no other problem with the board. I'll probably take one of Nevs if no other option.

Have you checked the -5v rail on the board, derived from GI ac supply. You will get no 5th flash if the chip is not receiving it.

geotech makes a remake board that uses wav files on a micro sd card instead of the tms chip which is great for adding custom sounds to the pins of this era,and of course there is my pinballs remake as well

Yes. I know that there is quite few alternatives but i prefer to keep my machines original, also fixing old boards cost me significantly less. Thanks anyway.

Well...that's a bit better. U5 was sending wrong data to 5200 by the look of it.
Still need to fix the other board we're 5200 and sound chip are definitely dead along with few other things.

First things first... :)
