Picked up an iron maiden that needed some bits doing to bring it up to spec. One of the issues that is bugging me - and I imagine it’s just a case of a loose connection, is the GI under the flipper lane guides are in and out like the hockey cockey. Mainly when flipping. I pulled the old GI bulbs out and they pretty much fell apart too. Any ideas, common issue?

Cant stand a game not being just so, so gotta sort it.

Mine does this by the left flipper.

I’ve seen it on games that have had a lot of play - the bulb holders fall apart and sometimes the bulbs.

With the power off, remove the lamps. Then clean the lamp holders with switch cleaner, and also give the connection that goes to the base of the lamp a little 'scratch' (only gently) with a small screw driver.
Then with some long nose pliers gently squeeze the lamp holder slightly (again - only gently).
If this does not cure the problem then replace the holder.
