Hi all,
Having recently purchased a Gazelle jukebox from Phil I am now selling my Sound Leisure Americana CD jukebox. Despite me using a tape measure to show that we can fit two jukeboxes in the house, I am assured that we cannot.
I bought it over 10 years ago. It had been operated in pubs before that, so you can tell it has been used, but I have taken plenty of photos to show everything in detail.
I cleaned it up generally and I took the mechanism to Sound Leisure in Leeds where it was serviced and a new laser put in. I was advised by them to use original CDs rather than burning CD-R copies; they showed me the difference in signal quality on an oscilloscope and it was huge.
I have also fitted new castors as it didn’t roll too well; it’s very easy to move now.
Dual bass speakers and tweeters in the cab (most other models have one bass speaker). It’s an extremely powerful machine if you want it to be, I never play it turned up to full. Sound quality is fantastic.
I fitted a volume knob on the rear so it’s out of sight, which can be easily removed/refitted if the machine is being laid on its back for transport.
It holds 70 CDs in the carousel. There is also a Bluetooth receiver which can remain with it.
It is 1655mm high, 915mm wide and 610mm deep. (5’5” x 3’ x 2’). I don’t know the exact weight but it has to be around 130kg.
There are bubble tubes in the vertical and curved sections, all working. It looks fantastic in the dark of course; I used to use it as room lighting even when I wasn’t playing music.
Collection is West Yorkshire, HD9.
Looking for £1,000
Lots of photos attached. I realised I had left the white rope light over it (which is not part of the jukebox) in some shots, so I took that off for more pics.
I also have a 3 minute video (too large to upload) showing wider and close-up detail of the whole machine, plus the card-turning mechanism working and a song being selected (Zombie Dance by the Cramps, in case anyone wonders). I can email you the video on request.
Thanks,
Roger.
