Some mad guy I watch on youtube posted this link the other day.

Free PDF downloads of old 70s/80s/90s UK electronics magazines.

I remember buying these and making mad things as a kid. No - I did not get out much until I discovered drink and guitars at 15.

Built many projects from that magazine.

The adverts bring back great memories too particularly Garrard Sp25 MkIII record decks.

Wow that takes me back. I remember one project in the 1980s where they had a model railway controller that multiplexed commands on one track to drive trains independently just as Hornby and Airfix were releasing commercials products. I wonder how many people got that to go :)

Brilliant share @Pick Holder

Takes me back to my school years in the mid 80s. When selecting our GCSEs when we were 14, three friends and I caused a real stink by selecting CDT-Technology rather than the expected Biology. We were all brow beaten by various senior teachers, but we held firm.

CDT was "meant" to be chosen by those with zero academic potential, and three of us went on to university.

CDT-Technology was the special forces version of CDT so we learnt about electronics, computing, and most fun of all, pneumatics.

Taking that course really was one of my better decisions. I still have the scar above my eye from when a chip blew up. Our teacher had one finger a little shorter than the others as he had upset a band saw. Those were the days. Jumpers for goalposts...
