Hi,I’m new to collecting. I have a Chicago coin solid gold machine, I think from 1975. When I got it from my brother, it worked good. We carefully put it on my trailer, roughy it to my house and set it up in my basement, and now it doesn’t work. When I turn the switch underneath on , some lights come on, and then i push the left flipper, and the lights all come on, but it doesn’t do anything. No sound, no ball, flippers do t do anything. Im thinking it’s not resetting. Any suggestions on what I can check? Thanks

Go back and check any connector you unplugged to move it. Unplug it again and check for corrosion, clean the connector if necessary then plug it in again checking that it is in correctly. Also check any tilt systems like tilt bob or roller ball and ensure that they are not active. Then see if it powers up.

The trailer is the cause of your problems here, it’s going to have had a very bumpy jolty ride, you need to do a visual check on everything fixed in the cabinet under the playfield and in the back box behind the back glass. Make sure machine is unplugged, not just turned off, and that way you can prod things without getting a massive electric shock, unfortunately you’re going to have to look for something that ‘doesn’t look quite right’. It could be as simple as the leaf switch where the ball sits when the games over been pushed out of line, or if the mechanism for the tilt warning( could be a ball in a fitting inside cabinet) has jammed. Good luck
