On Friday my wife came home and told me about an auction near the South Coast in a small village.
In their listing there was a MM, SS and TOM. Each with a guide price of £500-£800.
Thought I might have stumbled onto one of those rare finds so slung some bids in.
Sure enough most of the stuff in the auction went for bugger all until it came to the pins.
I must have been bidding against another pinhead as the price rocketed. Given there was a 24% bidding surcharge and I hadn't seen any of the machines in person I had quite a low drop out point on all of them (plus I've had 2 of the 3 titles before).
Anyway on each of the pins I was outbid by a single £100, so I'm guessing there were only two of us competing against each other.
Did I accidently shaft any of the SC lot? Some poor sod ended up paying 3k more for the MM than if I hadn't lucked across the listing.
Assuming the machines were in good nick then someone still got a good deal but without me they would have had a absolute steal
Anyone going to admit it was them?
