Hi all, anyone got experience with refurbing a SAM era cabinet? SM decals have arrived from Xianek but the originals look vinyl printed to the cabinet. Thoughts were to remove all shooter housing, coin door etc, sand down smooth fill then sand before applying the new one. Plenty of videos of WPC cabs- but next to nothing on Stern 2000 era. Any advice appreciated

Hi steadyp,
We do as you describe above if the cabinet needs repairs/filling. Then mask the side artwork and spray the four leading edges satin black to hide the bare sanded wood , as the new decal will need trimming. (With a front decal, we use the wet method, a mix of water and a few drops of “Tint Slime”).

If it’s only the artwork damaged then we remove the original art with an acetone soaked cloth. Then attach the new vinyl.
Hopefully of some help. Cheers Keef…….👊🏼
