So I have a couple of Starwars signatures on the spare translites.

I see Christopher Loydd is at Comic Con in July.

Should I have my TAF Translite signed by him..

Ernie Hudson is there as well - so GBLE Translite..

But it’s unlikely I will get Dan Akroyd, or Bill Murry’s signatures
And Raul Julia is dead and Anjeliaca Huston.. unlikely

Do you think it’s worth it, or do you think signed ruins the translites.

Discuss..

I reckon it’s personal preference mate. I had a sttng with Steve Richie signed translite and my corvette one is signed by George Gomez.
It didn’t put me off and it didn’t make me want it even more. It’s just there and it didn’t bother me.
Personally I don’t think it does any harm.

Thanks @Spandangler, It’s more the Actors that I’m talking about, not that the designers aren’t great 😂.

Example- my Starwars Translite for the pro has signatures
David Prowse,
Mark Hamil
Anthony Daniels

I've never understood people collecting sigs myself, in or out of pinball. I certainly wouldn't pay someone for one. It wouldn't put me off buying a machine unless it was right across some major area of the translite.

Yes mate more the point of a squiggle on the translite as opposed to who it belongs to. Guess they’re all relevant

I would think that some signed by the actors, would also appeal to collectors/ fans of the film & actors.

When I was queuing to get Iain McDiarmid signature. Lots of Starwars fans were asking where I got the artwork from and could they buy it. 😂.

I think a signature replacing an apron card looks best. When you move the machine on you can keep it too.

I think the designers are worth getting but the actors etc not so interesting; So my Star Trek that I sold to Dan had Steve Richie, Youssi, Dwight and greg freres sigs on it. I have a Medieval madness with the artists, Lyman and Brian Eddy. I'm thinking of auctioning that off for charity in honour of Lyman.

but signatures on pinball not that great. Better to get something more directly related to the person signing, like Eddie from ghostbusters signing some GB memorabeilia. also make sure you take a photo of them signing for auth purposes.

Neli.

I wouldn't have been likely to want a f**d Street Ka anyway, but one with the bonnet signed by the singing budgie at the launch event would've gone straight for baling.

(Though in any case, the affected panel was removed and auctioned separately).

It wouldn't add anything for me but it wouldn't put me off buying a machine either. If it would bring you more happiness do it, you could probably swap it out for a replacement one when you come to sell if you wanted to keep it too.

Personal preference but would prefer not,
Probably with Greg on this one. My Spiderman apron was signed by Steve Ritchie. And no one really ever noticed.
If they did it normally lead to the question “what’s that writing for?” 😆
We removed it , sold it on eBay and replaced it with vault decals....... But a very nice touch if you like that sort of thing. Probably works better if the signatures are theme based rather than pinball based, if you catch my drift.
. Keef.

My FT came with the translite signed by Mark Ritchie, doesn’t bother me and somebody excitedly pointed it out to me once when they were playing it.
I would rather have a cheque to pay in signed by them😃

I'd be absolutely fine with a relevant signature on any translite of any game I was buying, if anything, it could add to collectability.

get proof that it has been signed by the real actor, like a photo of them with you or signing it,too many fake celebrity signatures around these days,it's too easy for people to forge things these days,if you went to sell in the future people may want proof it's real

It is all personal mate. In my musical line of work I have worked with many famous people and I always shyed away from autographs as I am not particularly bothered.
I used to have a guitar I got about 30 people to sign (guys from Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, Thunder, AC/DC. Motley Crue, Def Leppard) and when a pal (the old drummer of Magnum) needed drugs for his cancer treatment I handed the guitar to his wife and she auctioned it.

It will do no harm having translites signed. They will quadruple in value once someone dies at least.... but will heavily devalue if they get into trouble with the law like my pal's Rolf Harris collection...... Who wants John Trudeau's signature on a JD pinball or a GB?

Ernie signed my GB.

Realistically it adds zero value. I’ve got a couple with pen marks on them but that’s how they came. Doesn’t add anything for me.

If you want it for yourself then that’s a different thing. Kind of a reminder that you met someone. As a teenager I got records signed by bands but wouldn’t dream of doing it nowadays.

A few of the GOT actors live near me so I chat to them when our dogs are playing with each other. I haven’t even told them I’ve got a pin at home with their faces on let alone asked them to sign it. There’s not an easy way to work that into a conversation without sounding like a stalker. 😂
