Shipping a pin to Europe

Put on pallet.

Press 'ship' button.

Pay yer monies.

Give middle finger to customs and declare value as £10?

Wait for collection.

I have tried to use DSV to ship, but as we are no out of EU I don’t think they do domestic shipping now.. they have refused my last 2 enquiries

3 or 4 years back I struggled to find a courier or wagon firm to collect 2 x pins in France for me. Ended up just hiring a van and going through the tunnel. Was there and back in a day. Petrol was a bit cheaper back then mind!

You could post the job on Shiply for a bunch of independent carriers but watch their insurance cover.

I managed to get seller to arrange mine in the end using TNT but I had several Shiply quotes I was considering and most had agents that dealt with customs declarations.

Italy to UK I was getting quotes between €600-800 not including taxes.

There's no reason why this should cost any more than £250, or £300 tops if you put it on a pallet and pack it up properly.

It's more efficient if you put 2 pins on a pallet though.

Be great to share who you shipped with at that price as you'll be saving peeps money.

But I’m all seriousness keeping it in the UK isn’t such a bad thing we are already seeing lots of pins get in the hands of the company resellers many ending up in rich men/woman’s gamesrooms.
These sadly never seem to return to the community and probably sit unloved as part of the furnishings.
It saves the hassle of what you are going through and once Martin collects it worry free.
BTW I too done the Van thing once in Germany picking up 9 pins without being able to speak one word apart from grathias 😝

I think if you or your customer are not vat registered you will struggle by using any decent company as they have to declare what’s n the shipment so it’s more than likely your customer will have to pay vat

Cheers for all replies.
It’s no biggie, the buyer approached me, no deal done yet, I was just putting feelers out to see if a recommended straightforward option for buyer should I sell.
I’m not fussed one way or the other if it sells or not, or where it goes. Pins have flowed in and out of the country for years.
Easy come , easy go daddio 😎
