Serious bang for buck

Was playing a few games on my newly acquired last action hero and was just thinking that you would never get all this stuff in a pin these days. And can't think of a game with more stuff on it.

Police flashing beacon topper thing
Ripper kick back shot at the top of P/f
Under playfield magnets
Gun shooter
Smart missile
Shaker motor
2 captive balls
3 scoops
Spinners
Moving crane that carries balls across playfield
Ramp diverter
Bank of drop targets

Best thing as well is that the game so far appears to really really good fun and for less than a grand , what a result especially in these crazy days of pinball prices , I then had a couple of games on Acdc and after i kinda felt like I had been bummed ;)
 
Great value although to me mine felt a bit like a rehash of JP without the cool graphics, don't think you'd want both in a collection. Maybe the theme turns some people off. However when you compare the number of features on it to say the PRO version of AC/DC then it's hard to defend why we're now paying so much more for so much less. Never understood why people overlook DE/SEGAs as there are some great games out there. Still yet to find a Gottlieb though that I'd want to keep ;)
 
Think the problem I have with data east / sega is the unforgivable music all uptempo and terrible. They had such awesome licences and in my opinion just destroyed the games with the music. JP I loved but it had to go in record time due to the music same with so many others. I agree john There was a good run of games out if the data east camp with TLAH JP G&R Tommy TFTC .

I watched TLAH again the other day ( as I always tend to do when a new licensed game turns up) and what a cracking movie, hated it when first our but think now the movie is more relevant and works really well, plus you would never see a kids film like that these days, guns everywhere :) Charles dance is fantastic as the stereotypical British bad guy " excuse me I just murdered this man and I want to confess " genius ;)

Gottleib leave me cold as well, even stargate which by all account is supposed to be the best one hasn't ever clicked with me either.
 
John let me know if you want to move on that ID4 nearly bought that one at the NLP but had to leave early. Is it any good?
 
Not that one as in your one as in there was one at the NLP that I nearly bought
 
Absolutely Love ID4, so it's staying for a while. I was planning on bringing it down to the SCS though, so if you've got the room I can always leave it with you for a few months. No real plans to sell it at the moment but so saying I've got a range of machines that are likely to come in over the next 6 months or so, so something will have to go. Getting very tempted by AC/DC again at the moment

Would defo be up for borrowing it after the slam, think I should have space think Matt is taking my Congo after the slam, although I am finding Congo to be awesome at the moment so may hang onto it.
Let me know if your serious about ACDC I have been toying with getting rid of mine I don't want to and I will be totally gutted but I can't ever see my self being without the xmen and can't justify having that kind of cash in two games.

Have you played Goldwings? That's one of the few Gottlieb's that I really like...it's got an awesome siren :D
 
+1 Some great invention in the shots and ball movement in Gold Wings.... and anything with a siren has got to be good :-)

I played a Goldwings before, didnt really like the way it played or the music, the siren was awsome though i agree and the cab design i really liked too. I Got operation thunder instead which i think is also a great value pin.
