SCS on tour "AC/DC shoot to thrill pinball tournament " At the NLP - UPDATED WITH RULES

Hi all.

The South Coast Slam Crew will be running the ACDC tournament again on the Saturday of the NLP , it's gonna be a knockout tournament played loud and fast accross four ACDC's

The rules of engagement are top secret at the moment as stormy is working on making them as fiendish and awesome as possible.

Registration is going to be a first come first served type thing and places are limited so let us know who is in from here before we open it up on eBay and other game groups.

£5 per entry and each entry receives the infamous " mystery plastic " from stern and there are some really cool pinball prizes for the winners from our sponsors over at stern pinball.

AC/DC Shoot to Thrill Rules

Qualifying
Entry is £5 and gives you 2 chances at a 1 ball game

Ball saver is active for 15 seconds only

Pick any song of your choice on any of the 4 machines

The LONGEST time on each song (across all machines, 12 players total) advances to the next round

Play as many times as you like on any machine you like

All games will be timed by an official and cradling of the ball on the flipper will result in disqualification from that game.

If any players are tied at the end of qualification, they will play head to head on the same song on 2 machines with the last person playing making it through.

If any songs have no time recorded against them, then that song will go into the hat for the 2nd round as “No Player”.

2nd round
4 players (chosen at random) at a time will play head to head on the chosen song. All play at the same time with the last 2 persons playing making it through. In the event of a “No Player” being in the group, there will be 3 players with the top 2 still going through.

Semi-Final
3 players (chosen at random) at a time will play head to head on the chosen song. All play at the same time with the last 2 persons playing making it through to the final. All losers will be declared 5th equal.

Final
All 4 players will play head to head on the chosen song, all play at the same time with the last person playing to be declared the winner. First person out is 4th, 2nd person out is 3rd and the 3rd person out is 2nd. Should there be a tie, score will decide the placings.

Prizes
All entrants will receive a Stern promotional item (for 1st entry only)
The longest time in qualifying across ALL songs (so one winner) will receive a £20 cash prize
Tournament winner will receive a £25 cash prize, Signed Star Trek translite & Stern T Shirt
2nd Place will receive a Star Trek translite & Stern T Shirt
3rd Place will receive a Stern T Shirt
 
Can't you just bounce from flipper to flipper tho??? Not in the spirit I know, however people will do silly things to win prizes!!!

Can we add a beer drinking round as in maybe the final you have also attempt to finish a pint as well as get the high score and bonus points awarded for the quickest ;)

We have had so many people interested in this comp ( cheers all ) and also from our Facebook page, please don't leave it to late come , and see one of us at the scs tent and get your name down as early as you can on the Saturday as we wanna fill it up and get it rolling as soon as we can
