i have longer bolts, 4":

Someone found me one to try in Space Shuttle recently and it does the job. I'll get that out and see if it's 3" or 4" and get back to you!
Don't wanna take locomotion to Pinfest without those bolts
An Italian machine may have metric threaded fasteners, rather than imperial as on u.s. ones.

They're just long bolts that fit through and tighten down. The nuts are designed to be hammered into wood I guess but the good thing is they allow you to get a grip on easily by hand. The other thing I've done before that's worth trying is just threading a long zip tie through there.
It's the giant washers I'd need also.
Really want the bolts as I will be removing the head for Pinfest and a big nudge can bring the head down with a dodgy latch

That's promising! Could do with a hex head though. At least I know the size now
This is the one I'm using in Space shuttle. I don't think it's an actual Zac one though.

Sorry I forgot to get back to you about these bolts after Swavesey. They aren't metric and metric ones won't fit, they are 3/8" UNC thread the same as the leg bolts, but longer. The last ones I bought on ebay were the 3/8" by 3 1/2" Part Thread ones from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113187458295 at £6.55 for 4. The washers can be M10 metric ones and the last ones I bought on ebay were the M10 x 30mm x 1.5mm ones from here at £2.51 for 10 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253719962048
