There currently is a Johnny Mnemonic pinball being advertised on several sites apparently owned by a guy called Wiloughby. I am 100% certain that this person is a Scammer and Thief.
I will explain..... I answered the AD on Gumtree advertising this machine for £1700. The seller claims to be in Penzance Cornwall, (150 miles from me). I contacted his asking if it was still available and he said yes. I told him I was very interested and would buy it on the spot if it was as described. I asked to see it and after a noticable delay he agreed but could only do the coming Weekend 26th / 27th Dec. I must admit to thinking it a bit odd but called his bluff and agreed to either day. I asked for an address and got back the address Menwidden Cottages, Ludgvan, Penzance. TR20 8BN. At this point he asked for £500 by Bank Transfer, he did not take PayPal, to secure it. Now getting really suspicious, I did a quick Street View and Google Earth, nothing but fields. I asked him to confirm the address and also asked for some pictures of the inside of the machine and playfield close-ups. 3 days Later still no reply. total silence. After a little bit of help from a friend, I obtained a phone number of a guy called Stuart who lives in No 3 Menwidden Cottages. Needless to say he knows nothing about this guy and he has lived there for 20+ years. I have reported this whole affair to my local Police and also reported him to Facbook & Gumtree. I understand the AD was also on eBay but seems to have gone. Of course it is up to you guys but DO NOT SEND THIS CROOK ANY MONEY IT IS A SCAM!

As always, if it looks too good to be true, there's a very high probability that it's a scam.

Deepest Cornwall? Northern Scotland? use of BACS/Western Union / Moneygram? Poor grammar and comms? Just walk away with your money safely in your pocket.

The remote possibility of making some kind of deal on a game and saving money is simply not worth the incredibly high risk. Stick with ads on here. You're FAR more likely to get what you pay for.

Thanks for sharing the warning though - everyone should know about these thieving twats.

Of course there are deals out there - usually the best ones are on your doorstep, pay cash, back of the car, job done. But they are quite rare.

If it’s only 150 miles, can you arrange to go around to view the pin in person and pay deposit if you like what you see?
I’ve just looked at the advert, I’m not so sure it’s a scam.
Postcode took me to the area in question.
Also, if it’s a scam artist ask yourself this question:-
1. If your going to risk fraud and jail, would you do it for 500 quid with a JM?

could be wrong though 😂

Edit: ^^^ just checked the link above, looks like it is a con, unbelievable. I guess I’m far too trusting.

He's always been here. I didn't like to say. But when scammers are complaining about scammers that sets me off.

How many posts before we get threatened with legal action again? Or “I KNOW HOW THE INTERNET WORKS!!!.!!!?!!!” Bwahaha what a balloon
